The Last Days

-a dark and terrible wonder dominates the landscape-
-something unsubstantial and ghostly consuming us-
-against the will of my upbringing-
-having placed myself at the outer edges of the map,
I am looking back and holding a rope that is tied to nothing-
-leaning into a suspicious chasm of actuality-
-i think to rappel my way down into the mist,
but i can only suspend disbelief-
-to watch the events that take place on a heinous plateau-
-diminishing all of my hypocritical desires-
