The Heart is not an Iceberg

in spite of any progress,
the next day will resume categorically;
all of the grafted traits are upheld through slumber,
yet over a great deal of time, (many of these days)
a gradual alteration becomes apparent.
this is evidence of our nation’s pathology,
like ourselves
this can alter at a similar pace,
detectable with more days in hindsight
than the one in question:
which is the present.

still and motion photography is always lying to us.
Shredding up the moments in-between,
mannequins as playactors and more;
no representation of a true atmosphere or circumstance.
the beauty of art is a soft and flexible filter,
ours must be a version of life that is pure!
